About Kausani

Kausani is situated at the height of1890mtrs from the sea level. Kausani provides 337 kms Panoramic view of Nanda Devi, Nanda Ghunti, Nandakot, Trishul, Panchachuli etc. The highest Point near Kausani are Bura Pinath (14 kms), Pinath (12 kms.) and Rudradhari Temple with beautiful Water fall (09kms.). The famous poet late Sumitra Nandan Pant was born in Kausani. Mahatma Gandhi came in Kausani in 1929and impressed by the serenity wrote a book "Ana-Shakti Yoga". The house in which he wrote the book is known as "Ana-Shakti Ashram". The Kausani unveils the many splendor of the nature amidst a view of snow capped mountains.
